The
Albion Ryder Cup Experience
The House
The mansion is Grade I listed and is a most unusual historic house. Paneled
rooms, magnificent staircases, delightful garden and
400 acres of grounds, breathtaking views, private woodland
walks and a lofty position at the far end of a half mile
long drive.
Situated in one of the most beautiful corners of Wales the house offers atmosphere,
privacy and a very different experience for the discerning
visitor.
Step back into the 17th century
in one of the finest unspoilt mansions in South Wales,
four miles from the historic market town of Monmouth.
It has been a family home
from the very start and in the 17th century, a catholic
and royalist one - the priest's hole on the first landing
bears evidence to the dangers of its recusant past.
But be reminded the house
is an utterly unspoilt architectural masterpiece, It
is a robust and beautiful example of another age.
The facilities are comfortable
and the rooms magnificent but they are what you would
expect from a 17th century building.
Though all rooms except the
third floor have central heating, it is still a
place for sensible clothes and warm fires in winter.
Accomodation
The house can sleep up to 24 people but there are 7 main double bedrooms some
with four poster beds:
